Favorite High School/Coming of Age Films: You are the Apple of My Eye/ 那些年，我們一起追的女孩 (literally: The girl we went after in those years) (2011)

Synopsis: Beginning in 1994, Shen Chia-yi (Michelle Chen) is popular among teachers and her classmates as an outstanding honors student. Ko Ching-teng (Ko Chen Tung) and his group of friends also have a mild crush on her, but also considers her to be too serious for him. One day, the class teacher changes Ching-teng’s seat, placing him in front of Chia-yi after he is caught masturbating in class and asks her to watch over him. Thus begins a 10 year friendship between two unlikely people that may or may not evolve into more. The story is based on writer and director Gidden Ko’s best selling novel of the same name.

For her role, Michelle Chen was nominated for a Golden Horse award for Best Actress and newcomer Ko Chen Tung was nominated for Best Newcomer.
